The unconditional love of God for every individual<\/h2>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\r\nAlthough Marthe Robin showed nothing of the suffering that tormented her, she did not do it to demonstrate her own heroism or so that people would praise her for her courage, but to ensure that nothing would block the river of love that flowed from God through her to each one of her visitors.<\/p><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n\t\n\t\r\nOne should never reject a soul that God brings to us because he always does it for some important reason.<\/p><\/blockquote>\r\n
The thousands of testimonies about the way Marthe received those who came to see her were unanimous: Marthe welcomed each person as a unique individual, did not have set phrases and really took the time to make each person welcome. She asked questions, was interested in her interlocutor and listened attentively to what they had to say. <\/p>
A person, who came to see her many times, said :
\u00ab [If only you knew] the sense of trust and how comfortable it felt to be with such a loving and attentive person, who made God present and led you to him in a very simple way!\" <\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\r\n\tMarthe led others to contemplate the love of the Father<\/span><\/h3>\t<\/div>\r\n\r\nRather than showing the extent of Christ's suffering to her peers through her own body tortured by illness, Marthe showed the love of the Father.<\/strong> She provided a glimpse of the great hope that inspired her.<\/p>One cannot imagine the amount of suffering and sins that Marthe's visitors confided in her during her life! And yet, she never condemned anybody; She would always show the path of the God's mercy, without taking the easy route of playing down the sin disclosed. She preferred to focus on the Lord's infinite capacity for forgiveness and love: \u00ab\u00a0O my Jesus, so many sins! But your mercy is infinite<\/em>\u00bb, she wrote.<\/p>\r\n\tShe gave encouragement and restored hope<\/span><\/h3>\t<\/div>\r\n\r\nFor her, there was no such thing as a \"hopeless\" case. \r\nWhen you entered her room, after passing through a small corridor, you would initially be surprised by the darkness. Marthe could not bear the light. Only a small ray of light filtered through from behind a thick curtain. Then you would sit beside the bed, right next to her.
\r\nA quiet and astonishingly young voice would gently ask you to introduce yourself. \"Her greeting was friendly and warm, as if you had always known each other,\" said one of her visitors. You would be struck by her polite and friendly demeanour and the tone of her voice. She spoke simply, but very clearly. The order in which the words were spoken and the tone of the voice would be just right. She had a remarkably good mastery of the French language and all its nuances.

\r\nMarthe took a great interest in each person as an individual and in the life of the visitor: \"What struck me the most... was her simple way of speaking, asking all sorts of questions about my family: how many brothers and sisters I had, what was my social background, and even if we had chickens.\" Through these conversations, Marthe could already perceive a considerable amount. What was amazing was that, if she had already met the visitor, she would usually remember. She had a prodigious memory, a memory of the heart aided by the grace of God.

\r\nThen the conversation would go further. The person would sometimes find it hard to say what they had to say. \"Is something on your mind?\" she would say to prompt the person to open up. More often than not, people would be surprised to see how easily they were able to express things that were sometimes difficult, even complicated. In the room, things would become less complicated. Sometimes, the person would sense that she \"knew\" something: \"I had the distinct impression, in speaking with her, that she could see into my soul, without being indiscreet or insensitive.\u201d
\r\n
\r\nOnce the problem was explained, she would react in a number of ways. Marthe would sometimes says nothing, other than, \"we will pray\". The person would then feel disconcerted, but in the following hours or days, something positive about the issue would often occur. Generally, she would answer the question in a very clear, very simple way. She would give her opinion or a word of advice. She would often ask a question that would clarify everything. It was sometimes unusual and unexpected: \"She usually had a solution... There was always something simple that one had not thought of.\" In this way, she sorted out many seemingly insoluble situations.

\r\nLastly, on occasion \u2013 albeit very rarely \u2013 she felt that her visitor had some inner blockage, something that was not converted and that did not want to move forwards. She would then speak louder; There were even a few cases when she went as far as getting angry. The person would be shaken, but would turn to God.

\r\nThe conversation would finish with a prayer, generally one \"Hail Mary\", or Marthe would ask the person visiting her to choose a prayer. Finally, you would find yourself outside, in the light: \"You felt like you were walking on air, aglow without deserving it, you could only pray and give thanks.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

She was entrusted with many prayer intentions and the power of her intercession was often perceptible. Seemingly desperate situations, in many different domains, would be resolved or sorted out after she prayed. <\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n\t\n\t\r\nThrough these countless lives that were transformed by meeting her, God made the gift of his mercy tangible and came to meet every person, regardless of their circumstances.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
